Since August 2020, I am research assistant in the working group Statistics which is part of the Institute of Mathematics and Applied Informatics at the University of Hildesheim.
My research falls into the field of computational statistics. In particular, I develop univariate and multivariate distributional regression models, package them into user-friendly software and apply them in the context of probabilistic weather forecasting. During my PhD, I work on vine copula based regression models for the statistical postprocessing of numerical weather prediction forecasts.
